Rebuilding Together Cleveland (RTC) relies on the generous help of volunteers to ensure our low-income seniors and families with children are able to live in warmth and safety. Through our program thousands of volunteers have donated thousands of hours to turn a neighbor’s house into a home.

General Volunteers
General Volunteers provide critical support of our Rebuilding Day event. The majority of our volunteers come from our corporate sponsors and volunteer teams which provide the greatest impact on our success. Individual volunteers not associated to one of the many companies or churches are assigned to a work site based on the needs of each project. Individual volunteers are asked to be flexible as we don’t often know where you will be assigned until closer to event day. The only requirements to volunteer are 1) you must be over the age of 14 and 2) you must have a desire to help make a difference in a neighbors life. The time commitment of a general volunteer is 8:00am to about 4:00pm on the project day.
Skilled Volunteers
Skilled Volunteers provide much needed help in light construction disciplines. Many of the homeowners assisted by our program have not been able to maintain their homes as a result of some physical, medical and/or financial burden. Skilled volunteers assist at projects by repairing plumbing, electrical, roofing, etc. In some cases the repairs may require pre- or post-work to complete. The time commitment of a skilled volunteer is 8:00am to about 4:00pm on the project day with 4 to 8 hours of pre- or post-work as necessary.
Committee Volunteers
RTC is always looking for volunteers who want help more than just one day. We are currently seeking volunteers to help in the following capacities:
